All of our shelters, with the exception of the safe room, are constructed of the following:
- 10 gauge steel walls
- ¼” steel lids
- Outer leak and corrosion protection with coal tar-epoxy. Far exceeds any thing used in the market today!
- Removable handrail, adjustable stairs and carpeted benches.
- Back lids are removable in an emergency.
- Front lid is auto-latching and lockable with a key on outside.
- Over 120″ of entry air breathing space.
- All underground shelters carry a limited lifetime warranty against leaking or floating.
- All flush models garage storm shelters come with a battery operated fan & light combo.
- Lockable outer lid for valuables.
- Exceed FEMA guidelines.
- Carry engineer’s seal of approval.
- Regular and Large units are filled to engineers specs in 3,000psi reinforced concrete to prevent floating.
- Optional 16,000 lb. hydraulic escape jack.
