Smart Shelters

Smart Shelters Tornado Shelters is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We were founded in 2011, with the goal of protecting families with storm shelters and above-ground safe rooms in Oklahoma.

In over 12 years we have grown into a massive storm shelter manufacturing facility. Our shelters have been sold to families and businesses throughout Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Kentucky.  Our patented ‘triple-locking door’ can be locked to store important items such as ammunition, guns, rifles, documents, and food while not in use.  It’s the most secure storm shelter on the market, and has never been breached by a debris impact!

We have partnered with highly respected organizations such as CASA, Neighborhood Housing Services, American Cancer Society, Cheyenne Arapaho Tribe, Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma, Salvation Army of Oklahoma, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, YWCA Purple Sash, and many others.  By partnering with these respected entities, Smart Shelters Tornado Shelters fills a void that was lacking in funds being raised in various communities that needed storm shelters.

Our mission is to protect families when severe weather strikes and over time have protected thousands of families during tornadoes and severe weather!  We continue to look for opportunities to help well-documented charities raise funds and help bring awareness to their cause.

Visit the showroom located at 6602 Newcastle Rd, OKC, OK 73179 where you’ll find each storm shelter size to see which one is best for your family.  If we don’t have the size you need we WILL custom build it for you.
